The NUTRO™ Company to Enhance 30 Dog Parks in U.S. and Canada

NASHVILLE, Tenn., May 21, 2010 –This June, The NUTRO™ Company is leading a movement to enhance dog parks nationwide called ROOM TO RUN™: Dog Park Appreciation Project and invites pet enthusiasts to join the fun and lend a hand.

“The project is a way to reinforce the company’s commitment to connect with communities and help bring nature closer to home for dogs and their owners,” said Carolyn Hanigan, Vice President of marketing for The NUTRO™ Company.

Led by associates from The NUTRO™ Company in partnership with members of the community, ROOM TO RUN is a nationwide effort to enhance and revitalize dog parks in 30 cities across the U.S. and Canada. Volunteers from the company will host dog park enhancement events at the selected dog parks from June 12-19. Volunteer opportunities will vary by location, but may include painting fences, providing benches, picking up trash and landscaping. In an effort to focus on the enhancements and for the safety of the dogs, community volunteers are asked to bring dogs to the park following the event.

Below are details about the ROOM TO RUN™ events. Dog lovers not located near an event are encouraged to volunteer at their local dog park. Anyone can make a difference by spending just a little time and effort to make dog parks more enjoyable for pet owners and their pets.
